Pumpkin Flavored Everything

So I went to Trader Joe's on Saturday afternoon to do some grocery shopping. Almost everything I bought was pumpkin flavored. No shame. I gotta stock up on that stuff while I still can - it's only offered for another month!
The beginning of the week was fairly quiet; a large group of us went dancing on Tuesday night and Sarah and I went to the temple on Wednesday after work. Thursday was really cool - our dorm building had a Fall party on the roof. How many people can say they had a pumpkin carving contest on the roof, in view of the Capitol Building and Washington Monument? In case you were wondering, the Batman won with Chick-Fil-a as a close second.

Lunch hour is often my favorite time of the day, and not just because I get to eat. There are always different events going on and Heritage is in a perfect location to go to many of them. My favorite lunch event I attended this week was on the Hill - I can't believe we're only two blocks away! My morning and lunchtime walks often take me past the Capitol Building and the Supreme Court - NBD.

Three of us spent most of Saturday (when we weren't at Trader Joe's) at Arlington Cemetery. I've been a couple of times and love it more each time I go. Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day and was a perfect time to be outside, admiring the autumn foliage.

This week was Week 7, which means I'm halfway done with my internship. What?? I have learned so incredibly much, I can't even imagine what the next 7 weeks will bring. But I'm excited. And ready. Maybe. Okay, to be honest, registration for classes is next Wednesday and thinking about it makes me want to cry. I'm not ready to go back to school and I'm DEFINITELY not ready to register for my last semester of classes.
And with that depressing thought, I'd just like you all to know that this Saturday is Redhead Appreciation Day. Do what you will with that information.
