No Title

The nice thing about my blog titles while I was in Ukraine was that I didn't have any. I just named them according to week number. But this semester I didn't do that, so I have to actually come up with something somewhat clever or curious to catch your attention. I usually ponder it all week long (no joke) and write down ideas that I have. But I had absolutely no ideas this week.

Not that my week wasn't great. On Monday we did yoga in front of Washington Monument for FHE, nbd. Afterwards we went to Walmart, which is always an adventure.
On Tuesday I aced a mock interview at my educational program. Hire me. And of course, we went swing dancing. Please please please look up "lindy hop" on Youtube. That's what we do every Tuesday night; except no crazy flips. It's SO much fun.
Friday night involved walking and eating. ...If I'm being honest, that about sums up almost every night... ANYWAY, four of us met up in Georgetown and had delicious Thai food and enjoyed the beautiful evening. Some people also ran several blocks chasing a bus, but I won't tell you who... Hint: I didn't feel guilty about not exercising on Friday.

Three of us spent most of Saturday at the zoo. It started out windy and chilly while Sarah and I were waiting for the bus, but by the time we got to the zoo, it was perfect weather. Really though, the day turned out to be a picturesque autumn day with blue skies, a light breeze, and crunchy leaves. I love fall.

Sorry I didn't post the photo with your butt, Clark. It was too blurry.

On our way home from the zoo, we stopped and got hot drinks (duh, it's fall). Except for me - I love frozen things, so obviously I got a frozen drink. And frozen fingers. We also found the embassy of the Republic of Benin - definitely the coolest embassy I've ever seen. It has a very small carbon footprint... Several more joined our trio in the evening for dinner and a movie.

A small piece of home

Church was super uplifting today; I love it when the talks or lesson are about something I've been focusing on in my personal study. After church, Sarah and I went to the Natural History Museum - we only had time for one floor, which is what I would recommend. The Smithsonian museums are huge and if you have the time, take them by bits and pieces, because otherwise you just get overwhelmed and don't appreciate what you're seeing. Below: my wedding.
