Kamyanets - The Castle City

On Tuesday morning we got back from a three day weekend in Kamyanets-Podilsky. To be honest, it was not my favorite vacation, nor was it anybody else's. We all wish we had swapped this weekend and last weekend at L'viv.
Not that it wasn't fun. I loved exploring the medieval fortresses. We spent the early hours of Saturday morning exploring around Khotyn Fortress, which was my favorite. Saturday afternoon was relaxed, except for when we all got sick from this restaurant.

On Sunday morning we went to a cave and explored with a guide for a little bit, and spent the afternoon at the Kamyanets Fortress, which I also enjoyed. I love imagining what it was like when the fortress was a bustling, lively place. Mallory and I spent the afternoon exploring the Old Town, which didn't really have that much, except for lots of ice cream. Guys, I ate so much ice cream - all the other food in town sucked.

Early Monday morning, Steven, Clari, and I walked to the Kamyanets Fortress to catch the sunrise. It was absolutely gorgeous; definitely not a decision I regret! As a group, we mostly just wandered around until Monday night.
