Hallelujah! I have to say, Thursday was one of the best days ever. No more manual labor, woohoo!!
I moved into my apartment in Rexburg on Friday; it may be small, but not as small as my dorm room in Virginia! I'm mostly excited about three things: the kitchen, a full size shower (no more water aerobics), and cinder block walls (no more noisy neighbors).
This weekend I was put in an orientation group with other transfer students, which was nice, and spent two-ish days learning about BYU-I. I knew most everything already, but it's good to have a refresher, I guess.
I have to admit, there was no looking back when I decided to transfer, but the past couple of weeks have been kind of hard. I think a little piece of me will always belong at SVU. No matter how many times I'm told that people are really friendly here in Rexburg, you just can't beat the genius of small. But as I've had those doubts this weekend, I've just looked out my bedroom window at the temple, and know everything will turn out for the best.
I'm excited to get involved, meet new friends, reconnect with old friends, and learn new things. Life is an adventure, but not if you just sit in your room and watch Netflix! Hurrah to new semesters!
