There was a light dusting of snow on the ground when I went to bed on Wednesday night. When I got up, there was almost a foot. A pathway had not been cleared, and I could barely open the door as it was. There was no way on earth I was going to tread down a large hill at 8 o'clock in the morning to play chords for a voice class. The internet was down, so I didn't know for sure if class was canceled, but I didn't care. Like more than half of the school, my roommates and I declared it an unofficial Snow Day. It was awesome.
The internet came back on in the afternoon. None of my classes had been canceled, but they were already over by the time I got the email. I had already been planning on missing classes anyway, because I was planning on going on a research trip to the UVA archives. Which obviously didn't happen. So it's a good thing I love snow!
These pictures were taken at about 8:00 AM, so they don't show how much snow we actually got, but you get the idea. There was a LOT.
